American Eskimo

This breed has a keen wit and gentle temperament. They make an excellent , obedient watch dog that learns quickly. They are playful and eager to please. The Eskimo enjoys cold weather, but is adaptable to almost any region. Males are 16 to 20 inches tall and weigh 20 to 30 pounds. Bitches are slightly smaller.

They normally needs only weekly brushing. Their white coat contains natural oil that repels soil, so this breed does not have the odor problem of many longhaired breeds, so bathing is not required as often as one might think. They need plenty of exercise and a well fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and play is beneficial.
