Silky Terrier

Active and energetic, the Silky tolerates children if handled properly. Inclined to be noisy, they make a good watch dog. This breed should have obedience traning to which it responds well to. If training is not provided the Silky will try take over the household. Males and females are 9 to 10 inches tall and weigh about 8 to 10 pounds.

Brush daily and bathe weekly to maintain the long coat and prevent matting. The Silky needs more exercise than most toy breeds and a daily walk on a leash will keep them fit.
